This week's readings reminded me of this little documentary film. It engages with the possibility of the self being the other as well, when not reinforced in excess:

I also thought of the possibilities of Virtual Reality in terms of how we look at our (hi)story, in the sense that in this environment, the same "act" can be repeated (if we come back to the video over and over again), but can be looked (and thus perceived and understood) differently each time.
I don't like the song, but this video shows how different can the experience be depending on what are we looking at:
